After knitting a few scarves, shrugs and a shawl I was ready for something more challenging. I settle for my first sweater. It was knitted from the top down and I have to say it was so easy! I didn’t design it myself but follow the instructions from a book: Top down sweater by Ann Budd. I got it from a local Half price books for few dollars. So far it has been well spent money. It was knitted in light weight yarn,#3, from Michel’s. It’s an acrylic yarn for babies but I love the color. The yarn is beautiful and soft. Knitting needles #5 and #6. The size is 30 . I tend to knit loose so I went one size smaller than the one recommended in the book.
I have see some free patterns of the same sweater in Pinterest if you are interested in knitting yourself one. Top down sweaters are my next new thing.
I am proud of my work and I have gotten quiet few compliments. Now I am ready for another one more challenging.
